Did this forum die?
hardly anyone is playing, but I'm anticipating and advertising update 2.0 like crazy, and it's starting to get more of a following! I'm concerned however that this forum is dead, I hardly see any posts for days! What's going on!?

The game is a 2 year old star craft 2 game. It is normal for it to die Down

Yes, but they have either a team of devs or people who can afford to devote more time to the continual content creation and bug fixing required to keep people extremely interested in their game.

We will be there again after this update. I am working super hard to make addicting new things that will keep people playing past beating the game. I am also making a lot more content for new players to enjoy to hook them in.

Hero, why not let others develop your ideas? It could roll out way faster? I'm sure there are good devs out there who would be happy to help you without taking the credit for your brilliant ideas!

Re: Did this forum die?
Because I've spent thousands of hours developing this game myself and I'm not going to share the title of creator. Also I don't like working with others over the internet. They will slow me down because only 1 person can work on the game at one time. I also don't know anyone who is capable.

Re: Did this forum die?
Well, you'd be surprised how many people would be willing to help you develop the game, and is perfectly capable. As for the credit, you're gonna get it all regardless of who works on it. Ultimately you were the person who made it, opening the door to having others create what you tell them to create will speed along the process, making a years worth of work possible within a matter of a month or two, thus helping build the community, keep the game fresh, and make your game more popular and available to others. Imho, you have a responsibility to do just that, because your game is great, and it needs more attention than it has. You have something special here, a few more developers helping you wont kill that, you don't see bill gates or steve jobs building their empire alone do you?Admin wrote:Because I've spent thousands of hours developing this game myself and I'm not going to share the title of creator. Re: Did this forum die?
Well you do make a good point Ragey, Hero will spend probably more time just double checking things work and with potential communication issues, could ultimately take double the time. Alot of SC2 maps are a single person, but RPG take a lot longer to actually make.
Also Hero. You should reduce the quest for slaying the big monster at start to 50. Alot of people think 100 is to much.

Re: Did this forum die?
Towards having another creator to help Hero along I honestly think that it could cause more problems and miscommunications instead of helping the process. Because RPG's are very opinion based in their playing style the way that someone programs is completely different from other people and opinion are always changing. So by working on it alone you can always change your mind and create something different up till the last second before your done/start. With another person working on it you can only convey so much and it might not turn out exactly how you want it thus creating more work to be done spent on fixing it/changing it to your liking.
