To deny AFK grinding
I know, right now, with the current event going on, it's nearly impossible to AFK grind because every 500 kills, Mr Nefarius comes out and destroys you. Only way I can see getting around that is using melee and the life leech, but I don't think anything but oblivion claws has the damage to outheal him (I could very well be wrong).
So my suggestion is to add something after the current event is over that does a similar function (spawning an enemy or enemies) that cannot be AFK killed unless you're already prestige 10 with best equips possible. Something that people have to sit there (not for the entire time, but for regular intervals check back in) to make sure they don't get stopped in their tracks.
Some may see it as a bad idea, I see it as removing the monotony of AFK grinding most of the levels. Just my 2 cents.

Not a bad idea. Patrol has been removed, other option for removing afk grinding is reducing amount of queued commands. Currently it enables about 15 minutes of grinding in Creton. Cut it down to say 5? maybe 10?

I guess I could do that, I really wanted chaining in it, but I suppose if it really has come down to this. At least it isn't like beta where you could patrol to 100 over night.

I understand having chaining, but it's still too easy to say, setup an autoclicker and just have it just attack move to new spots in an indefinite loop. Adding something like the Nosferatu makes it so if the player isnt there, they will die, then when the autoclicker (using that example) puts them back over there, they'll die again and eventually it will pile more of the spawned enemy resulting in mass casualty with 0 xp gain. Just a thought to reduce AFK grinding.
I don't know if its a big issue, it still takes hours to get to 100 even with prestige levels, but it is something to think about for the longevity of the map.

It does because they are considered melee weapons. I watched a prestige 10 guy running around attacking as fast as someone with the Tentacles but doing like 5x more damage and lifestealing for ~47 per hit.

ya, idk why, but sometimes lifesteal works on oblivion, sometimes not
